I was looking at the release notes for TrueNAS 12.0-U2 (which is based off of FreeBSD 12.2) and it mentions "A performance bug found in Chelsio and Intel drivers for FreeBSD 12.2 has been addressed".

I realize that while TrueNAS and pfSense are based off of FreeBSD that there are differences. Just curious if anyone knows any more details about the bug the TrueNAS release notes were referring to and if it pfSense 2.5 RC would potentially be affected.

The TrueNAS release notes points to their Jira ticket on the bug: https://jira.ixsystems.com/browse/NAS-107593. Reading through it they mention a performance fix for iflib(4) for Intel, Broadcom, VMware and a temporary workaround for Chelsio (T4 and up) cards. But unclear from to me from the ticket what exactly the issue was.
