As above. Ive just put a replacement PFSense box in (home use) for increased performance - i cant say if the old box had the problem but the new one has....

I changed as my previous setup was an i5 nuc using the onboard lan for the wan and a usb lan for the local lan. This is now a backup box.

The new box is an old dell 7010 core i7 with 16gb of ram and a 25gb ssd with a dual intel network card. This has doubled my download speed enabled me to use the traffic shaper so all good. Spent the morning getting all the packages configured (as best as i could remember) but went to post a comment on you tube and i get the error failed to post. Not really sure where to start as ive only been using pfsense for a couple of months so still pretty thick.

Cheers to anyone that takes a punt.

The most likely answer there is that you're blocking access to some resource required for that.
So that might be via DNS or pfBlocker lists etc.
So you see blocked outbound traffic in the firewall log?

Less likely might be some MTU issue. Are you accessing it over a VPN?
I have seen similar things over IPSec.

Also, some YT posts don't allow comments. I've never had a problem adding comments to those that allow it. Given Youtube uses HTTPS, where everything is encrypted, it's hard to imagine anything that pfsense could do to block comments.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

Aha, well the simplest answer is usually the right one. 😉
