      Hey All,

I have a Dell Y40PH (Broadcom 57810S) but i cant seem to get the card to work with the systm or receive any link.

Whenever i plug a transceiver into network card it just spits out " Cannot acquire MCP access lock register "

I have tried to search i cant see anything in particular to help resolve the issue. Any help would be awesome.

      Thx

You have tried different SFP+ modules I assume? Same error?

          Hey Stephen,

Currently i just have the one SFP+ module. It works in the modem provided by the ISP (Bell Canada). I did attempt an install of the 2.5 RC tonight and the issue persisted.

I've started an RMA on the current NIC and going to try to switch to intel x520 but i cant help but try to figure out what is going on.

Well the first thing I would try is a different module if you can.

But, yeah, if that doesn't work swapping it out with an Intel NIC is a better option.

            Steve
