      I'm prepping a bunch of firewalls for a customer. I'm 1/2 done and now I'm stuck on "Please wait while the update system initializes" Is this because of the 2.5 rollout?

        Possibly if you were part way through.

        If you need to add packages and are still on 2.4.5p1 you need to set the Update branch to 2.4.5-deprecated.

        However if these are new firewalls going our to remote sites I would update them all to 2.5 first and then add packages.

          @stephenw10 I tried updating one of them (the extra one) and it failed badly. I'm now need to recover that one. I'm going to wait a bit before I try to update another one.

            It failed the upgrade? How did it fail?

            If they are brand new CE devices you can install 2.5 clean though which is generally preferred.

              @tkroeger I getting this exact thing on my system.

              I uninstalled darkstat, and the Package Installer, after Confirming the Uninstall, showed just the message and never updated.

              I note that darkstat was actually uninstalled.

              I then tried to install ntopng, and that hung in exactly the same way, but this time the package did not install.

              I'm afraid to try installing the package update that is pending as that package is working fine, and I don't want that to stop.

                In 2.5 or in 2.4.5p1? What is the pkg repo set to?

                  @stephenw10 It is 2.4.5

                  I resolved this my reverting the repo target.

                  This should not have advanced until after the commit to upgrade to 2.5.0 was confirmed.

                    @stephenw10 @traveller Maybe the System > Package Manager > Installed Packages tab should display the current Firmware Branch.
