NTP Status
-
On my dashboard GUI, I have a widget for NTP Status displayed. In the System > General Setup > Localization > Timeservers, I had one of the NIST time servers entered. I always saw the accurate time in the NTP Status display when I logged into the GUI. Now that I just upgraded to pfSense 2.5.0-RELEASE (amd64), the NTP Status is displaying "NTP Server is disabled". Anyone have an idea what happened? Just a question.

@newuser2pfsense Check Services > NTP > Settings and insure that Enable NTP Service is checked.

@tquade Thanks for the response. Yes, Enable NTP Server is checked and the dashboard widget still states the "NTP Server is disabled".

@newuser2pfsense A little further testing...I went to Services > NTP > NTP Server Configuration and unchecked the Enable NTP Server and clicked save. I then checkmarked the Enable NTP Server checkbox and clicked save. My dashboard NTP Status widget is now displaying the time.

I had this with 10 systems. I opened the settings and saved without changing anything and the NTP got online.
On other systems NTP was online directly after upgrade. -
