Just updated, now can't access SG-1100 GUI (it's working, though)
-
I just installed the latest update. It installed successfully, after reboot everything is working fine, clients are all connected, etc., except that I cannot get to the GUI. I know the IP, but attempts to connect just continue to fail.
How do I regain access to the pfSense GUI? -
@nguser6947 are you hitting the right port for sure?
-
@scurrier Yes. I know this because my Unifi Network manager shows me the IP. It's the same IP as I have the SG-1100 configured to use.
If I connect to the console, and do the factory reset, is there a copy of the original factory firmware stored on the device for it to load? I don't want to get into a situation where I do a reset but there isn't firmware for it to restore. Then I'm sunk.
If for sure there is factory firmware that it can restore, my plan would be to reset it to factory, then wait until it discovers that there's an update available, and go through the normal update process. Is that the right way to do this?
Thanks.

Open a ticket with the Netgate support, they will provide the 21.02 Image for your SG-1100:

Serial Console and Option 11, restart GUI have you tried?
-
@nocling Tried that. I get an error:
Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'rrd.so' (tried: /........ invalid file formatbut then the normal console screen appears.

Ok, then you have to go for the recovery image.

Registered with Support (or tried to, the password reset reset emails don't go through and are not hitting my spam folder) so I"m stuck for now.
But, if I restore the factory config, does that load a (clean) separate firmware image? Or am I hosed and can't do anything until I can get the recovery image?

Finally got a support account set up and requested the firmware. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.
After this, I'm considering obtaining a backup device so I always have a spare, ready to go.
