I have a Lenovo tiny M73 with pfSense. Because I have 1 network card I used a second network card, but is USB card. The USB network is used for LAN. Sometime I lose connection with the pfSense and solve that if I unpluged the network cable from the USB network and put the cable again. I don't have posibilities to put a network board inside of my lenovo and I know I can use a single lan port for pfsense, but I want to solve my problem with the USB network card if is possible. Thanks!

Another possibility is to use VLANs and a managed switch to separate LAN from WAN.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
        UniFi AC-Lite access point

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

How to identify where is the problem? What logs tell me where is the problem. Maybe I can solve without vlans. With 2 years ago I used vlans, but now I want to use my USB Lan.
          Thanks!

I changed the LAN port in the wifi device and the problem was solved.
