Problem With Control Bandwidth Internet Download Manager (IDM)
-
@aamiritincharge Thank.
But it was a short-lived problem that was corrected in later versions.
I am currently using version 2.5.0 and this issue has been resolved. -
@reza3sw Sir how to control IDM and uTorrent traffic using pfsense 2.5.0?
-
@aamiritincharge It's very simple. You have to define the restriction rules in Traffic shaper>Limiter and then write a rule for network users in the firewall>Lan section and enter the traffic shaper values in the advanced section.
-
@reza3sw I did it as you sir mentioned but it does not working....with IDM and uTorrent download files.
-
@aamiritincharge Tell us the rules you have defined so that we can identify them. Where is the problem ... Also which version are you using?
-
@reza3sw okay
Protocol = Any
Destination=any -
@aamircomputerprogrammer okay
But you should use in/out pipe in advanced section Limiters rules
In limiters you could set two rules for limit bandwidth e.g: Upload and download
Then use those rules in advaced sectionin in/out pipe firewall rule
e.g : ( in: Upload and out: Download )Did you do that?
-
@reza3sw I did that too... but does not working....with idm and torrent
-
In limiters rule you should use this paramatere
For Download:
.
.
.
Mask : dest addressIpv4 mask : 32
Ipv6 mask: 128Queue manag: Trill drop
Scheduler: FIFOFor Uploade:
.
.
.
Like download but change mask to source addressWhich version pfsense using?

@aamircomputerprogrammer Maybe.
Test it
