Using pfSense now for over a year on a HP T620 plus, recently updated to 2.5 and no problems.
Last week I purchased a Jetway HBJC385F551-63U-B installed pfSense 2.5 the wan port does not seem to connect regardless of which port is used. Searched the internet some have talked about wan flapping well as the igb driver settings. Anyone else using this box can give me an idea of what settings to change.
      Thanks

What does ifconfig -vvvma show when the ports are connected?

Does whatever they are connected to show as linked?

Hmm, well looks like igb0 and igb1 are UP and linked.

What's the WAN connected to? Can it pull an IP connected to something else?

If it's a cable modem is it locked to the MAC? Reboot the modem or spoof if to test.

            Steve

              Igb0 is connected to modem
              Igb1 connected to pc lan
If I plug a cable from my running system into the wan port or igb0, it will give me a local ip like 192.168.0.16
Regardless of which of the 6 ports I use it will not connect.
The modem works on my existing system.
              Thanks

                Oops ,
Regardless of which of the 6 ports I setup as wan, it will not give me an ip to internet.

Ok, but all of those ports do work using a local DHCP server.

That sounds exactly like the modem is locked to the MAC address of you other device which is common.
Did you try spoofing the MAC address or rebooting the modem? Some ISPs store the MAC upstream and you have to call them to have it reset. Spoofing it can be easier in that situation.

                    Yes that seemed to work.
                    Rebooted router and modem.
                    That worked.
Thanks For your help, will test for awhile and get back to you:)
