Pfsense stops working after package install

Iam running pf on a dell 780 e7500, 4gb, 4port intel nic pcix. 250gb ssd samsung

Installed openvpn export utiliy, darkstat, ntop.ok. Tried to install snort and clients could not connect to internet anymore, tried antivrus same thing. When i uninstall these packages client surfing works again. This is brand new install. Could there be a hw issue ? Iam also struggelig with openvpn, when testing vpn connection isp connection drops a bit,and then is back.

Cant see anything in logs either. Cheers for help, its driving me bonkers.

Also cpu,swap status doesent show any usage, used to be 24% w regular traffic. Factory reset ?
