No, it would require a specific build to be developed, as most (all?) Arm hardware does.

          Hi,

You're in the right place ( but not in a right topic), if you read my posts I have a lot of APU stuff, what's your concern?

@daddygo theoretically I have 1 gig of bandwidth.
with apu2 and the same hardware of your guide an AMT GX-412TC 4 core, i download maximum 250megabit.
with a mikrotik, my speed test is 800megabit

Without OVPN and without running heavy app(s), the APU2 MOBO (w 4GB RAM) knows a speed of nearly 1Gig

so something will be wrong with your settings, ๐Ÿ˜‰

              pls. look around here too:

@foolish86 I don't understand why you would want to put pfSense on a device designed for Mikrotik. I can tell you that pfSense and Mikrotik complement one's network ... in my system, pfSense is the king of my WAN and Mikrotik (RB450x2) is king of my LAN. I have IDS/IPS on pfSense as well as DHCP on Mikrotik for all devices ... even double NAT ... no problem.

                pfSense+ 23.09 Lenovo Thinkcentre M93P SFF Quadcore i7 dual Raid-ZFS 128GB-SSD 32GB-RAM PCI-Intel i350-t4 NIC, -Intel QAT 8950.
                pfSense+ 23.09 VM-Proxmox, Dell Precision Xeon-W2155 Nvme 500GB-ZFS 128GB-RAM PCIe-Intel i350-t4, Intel QAT-8950, P-cloud.

PPPoE should not be a problem for pfSense.
Did you check this? MTU 1492

PPPoE absolutely can be a problem for pfSense. It can only use a single receive queue and hence a single CPU core. I would still expect more than 250Mbps on most platforms though.

You should try the tunables shown here:
                          https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/hardware/tune.html#pppoe-with-multi-queue-nics

                            Yup,

Not a good wording,.... this is not a pfSense issue but Multi-Queue NICs + multiple CPU cores, this is a question of all such hardware.

I thought the OP was already beyond reading the pfSense handbook.

But that was the right guideline, it never occurred to me. ๐Ÿ˜‰
