I am currently using my FIOS router as a MOCA bridge. When we lose internet (FIOS router indicates a connection loss), I cannot connect to my Netgate on its web interface. I reboot the FIOS router and when it begins to reconnect, I am able to connect to the Netgate. Any ideas as to why this is?

At all, or is it slow? I've seen it be slow if it can't resolve DNS and it waits for all DNS servers to time out.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

          As @SteveITS mentioned.
You should be able to access your pfSense , when wan is down.

But the login will take a loooonnngg time , due to some login checks that tries to access ressources on the internet.

Be patient , and it should log you in , in the end.

If the above is the cause here :
Then the pfSense should ask for credentials immediately when you try to connect , and the "seem to hang" when the credentials are given , and the login is processed.

I get an immediate can't connect error in my browser. Unfortunately, I did not take a screenshot. The diamond LED was also flashing.

The diamond LED flashing sounds like it rebooted. Check the uptime when you get access back.

Are both FiOS device and the SG-1100 on the same power strip? If they both rebooted at the same time that seems suspicious.

@stephenw10 The Netgate uptime confirms it did reboot. That is interesting. I don't believe the FIOS router rebooted until I power cycled it. It was indicating no connection.

I have two UPSs that everything plugs into. I'll have to sort through the rats nest to see if they are both plugged into the same one, but nothing else power cycled.

@stephenw10 Ok. I started to track down where each device is plugged in. In the process I discovered that the FIOS router is indicating no connection. However, I still have internet. The indicator light is hidden from normal view, so this may have always been the case because it is in bridge mode. I apologize for any confusion.

This looks like a case of my Netgate rebooting itself for an unknown reason.
