BT.net Pfsense Configuration
-
We have a BT.net leased line which is “wires only” so BT only manages up to the Openreach ADVA. Therefore we are trying to use pfsense instead of paying the subscription fee to use the managed Cisco router.
The problem is i can not get pfsense a online connection. BT have provided the following to us -
IPV4 Network Address : 62.x.x.120
IPV4 Network Mask : 255.255.255.248
IPV4 BTnet NTE Router LAN Address : 62.x.x.121For dns servers -
ns3.bt.net - 194.72.6.57
ns4.bt.net - 194.73.82.242So when setting up I used 62.x.x.122 as the IPV4 static IP, subnet /29 with the gateway 62.x.x.121. Then used the dns servers provided.
When set up as above there is no internet connection with the dashboard stating the gateway is offline.
Have I missed something obvious or is something not working? We are using a Netgate XG-1537 with pfsense version 2.4.5 currently.
