      I need to know how to configure my FW to work with my Vonage phones so I can get rid of an old consumer router.
      I am looking at setting up a VLAN to do this so that I can have the phone on their own IP address scheme instead of working with the one the computers are on.
      I have found some old information here but it is not making sense to me and I do need make this work.
      Any help with pictures is greatly appreciated.

        @twiztddwg Have you tried the docs from Netgate?

        Web interface VLAN configuration

          @kom Thanks that is helpful.
          My next question is: Are there any special rules or Aliases or NAT settings that need applied?
          From the things I have read it appears that there is not much to it.
          I have the VLAN setup and I have set one of my OPT ports set to use it with the IP address scheme that is for the phone.
          It appears to me that I do not need to setup a separate gateway for this.
          Vonage is less than helpful for this they say it won't work but they do not provide any information at all and then I read other posts that say it can be done but it is a mix of information.

            @twiztddwg It depends on the phones I suppose. My co uses Polycoms and I didn't have to do anything special to make them work. They reach out on bootup and maintain their states so I don't need to worry about NATs or special rules.

            The first thing you need to do is verify that your vlan is working as expected and passing traffic to the Internet. Once that's confirmed, then you can start concentrating on the phones.

              @kom Ok thanks that is what I am seeing as well.
              This setup is for Polycom's as well.
              I just want to get rid of an old Edgewater router that was put in and we believe it is causing issues for the modem because it goes around everything.

                @twiztddwg See if they boot up without a network error then make some calls. Fingers crossed.
