Building a router
-
Hi,
I'm considering building a router that would be running the latest pfSense. The routers primary purpose would be to provide OpenVPN access to the web for all my clients. I currently have an Asus AC5300 running Merlin. But I am unable to get adequate VPN speeds. So, my idea is to set this up and utilize the 5300 as the wireless access point. I'm looking for a compact system - considering ZOTAC ZBOX RI531? Or should I just go with the SG-2220?
Any words of wisdom and advise…

ZBOX CI323 Nano will do the job, you don't need i3
Since CI323 is using N3150 which supports AES-NI, you will get a very decent OpenVPN speed when using AES encryption algorithm. -
Thanks. The nano only has 1 LAN port. I think I'll need 2 - one from modem and one to Asus router (access point)

Actually it has two LAN ports. realtek though but should be okay for home use.

The CI323 is the only Nano that comes with 2 LAN (well, I know Realtek LAN sounds crappy)
