RRD Graphs is MISSING in pfSense-CE-2.3-RELEASE
-
Hi,
I just did a new install on my very old Alix2D3 router. I formatted and and them downloaded "pfSense-CE-2.3-RELEASE-4g-i386-nanobsd.img.gz", and then imaged "pfSense-CE-2.3-RELEASE-4g-i386-nanobsd.img" onto a brand new 8GB Monster Brand 500X CF card.
Anyhow, everything worked great after I performed a:
Diagnostics | NanoBSD
Permanent Read/Write: Keep media mounted read/write at all times.
SaveNow, I can't find the location of Status | RRD Graphs menu.
Were they removed in 2.3-RELEASE?
I REALLY need its ability to approximate how much bandwidth I use between two dates in order to prevent ISP overage charges, although they e-mail a warning a few days late sometimes.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The new graphs are under Status -> Monitoring.
I don't think you can approximate bandwidth usage yet.

As soon as I checked, I said, what the heck happened? :(
They apparently removed the really useful ability to check my data usage between two dates….

You may want to pour yourself a pint, and read through the following.

Yeah, RTFM isn't always the best answer. While 2.3 is a step forward in many ways, there are some regressions than happened in the process that are annoying.
RRD graphs are one of those things sacrificed to move forward, but there should be some way to bring back some of the very useful functionality that isn't a PITA to do.
While most people will not understand why RRD was useful as it was because they have unlimited data, there is a large portion of the world that has to pay past a certain amount of data, and the ISP does't have a way to give you the warning about it because they don't want to – they want to bend you over for the overage charges.
Good news though, OP:

Looks like there is at least something coming that will give us some of the features back.
Still, not as useful as RRD, but its something. -

I'm not sure how to do this, but previously, when I had a problem with the Internet link with an ISP (Comcast, AT&T, etc), I can pin point to them here is what the firewall says….it says the link in degraded due to packet loss of drops completely. How do I get this functionality - very VERY useful.
When they see these, Engineering and Support of the ISP typically says, yeah, we can see the degrading packets….
DONE...ISP fixes!

Quality graph is still there, just under monitoring..
