      Hello,

      I need to add a SG-1100 to my network.
      This is my current setup:

      {Cable Modem} -> {Google WIFI} -> Switch A -> Switch B

      Cable Model provides a DHCP address for my public IP.
      The GWIFI is current 192.168.1.1 and is the DHCP server.
      192.168.1.0/24 is the rest of the network. Switches are VLAN capable but everything is on VLAN 0 right now.

      NEW setup:
      {Cable Model} -> {WAN =SG-1100= LAN} -> Switch A -> B
      OPT -> Google Wifi

      I'm thinking of turning off DHCP on the GWIFI, and use NetGate for that. Can a single /24 route across LAN and OPT? Anything else I need to know/think about?

      P.S. The only reason I mentioned Switch A -> Switch B is after this is setup, I need to setup a VLAN isolation for a single port on Switch B, no access to the rest of the network but will need internet access.

        Definitely.

        Did you mean span? You can certainly route between LAN and OPT1, or you can span them with a bridge. How you want to do it depends how you want to group or isolate clients. You could plug a switch into LAN and then the wifi into that switch, for instance.

          Yes, I meant can I span the network across the two interfaces. This is my first Netgate and my first pfsense. Where in the menus is the port bridging option?

          The other option is a lot more complicated, I would have to setup routes between the two networks, have a DHCP server on that network (possibly the Google Wifi could keep doing that) but then it would have to be blocked form answering to the original network.

            @aram535 I think you are looking for This optional guide shows the steps required to configure the LAN and OPT ethernet ports to be on the same VLAN.

            Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
            When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

                The SG-1100 use Switchports, no need for Bridge.

                I use VLAN 1 to with my, on the Opt is a UniFi AP with Guest Net tagged on top.
                DHCP is on the pfsense, there a so many settings you could set if you need.

                Netgate 6100 & Netgate 2100
