Issues syncing 21.05 (arm) with 2.5.1 (AMD64)

Hi, I recently upgraded my 3100 appliance to the new 21.05. Now I notice errors in the logging that I cannot sync because of incompatible versions (2.5.1 running as a VM). I did not have any issues before. Is there going to be a new release for 2.5.1 soon and I am just impatient, or is this an issue with the update tot 21.05?

There will be a new release of CE soon, 2.5.2.
That said, it's never been officially supported to do HA between two different versions, including between CE and Plus (or older Factory) even when the number used to be the same. There are could potentially be differences in the configuration between Plus and CE that could lead to problems in that kind of scenario.

@jimp Thanks, that is good to know. I guess it makes sense now the 2 are diverging more. I will have to see how this will pan out in the future then and how to solve this. Since plus is only for appliances I would never be able to sync between my VM and my appliance in the (distant) future. That would be a bummer

At some point (hopefully soon!) you will be able to upgrade the VM to Plus and then both would be using the same version.
Of course you will still be unable to state sync between those as the interface types will be different.Steve
