Install other packages

Hi everyone

I searched for in forum how install other packages from
http://pfsense.org/packages/pkg_config.xml
but nothing no

I need SquidGuard & this present in pkg_config.xml

I set Firmware XMLRPC URL
Base URL: http://pfsense.org
Path: /packages/xmlrpc.php

But in list avialable packages nothing news :(

Pleez help me.

FAQ.

Make sure DNS is correct on firewall.

Turn back off the custom package location stuff, its not needed for pfSense.com hosted packages.

I have new installation of pfsense (more nothing)

DNS correct - i can ping external internet nodes (google.com for example) from shell
I disable custom firmware path.

But list of avialabel packages - standart.

In http://pfsense.org/packages/pkg_config.xml presents more other packages

squidGuard, ets.

In FAQ nothing until has found on this subject

I it is correct has understood - more packages will become available in pfsense v1.1?
Possible presently get some test version this?

Packages don't have a high priority atm. We are working on getting the base system ready to release 1.0. As you can see from the package list packages have maintainers. These maintainers don't need to be pfSense members and as pfSense is open source everybody is welcome to add packages to it. However officially supported packages that will  be available for download at pfSense.com after 1.0 was released will have to be reviewed by pfSense dev-team-members. It's not a matter of 1.0 or 1.1 but of people submitting/working on packages. Most of the packages were initially added by the pfSense team but now need maintainers to be kept alive and working.
