    pfSense 2.4.4
Installed postfix from unofficial packages (https://github.com/marcelloc/Unofficial-pfSense-packages).
Now you need to install the necessary packages from the main package , but there is nothing in the list of available packages.
How to see and install official packages?

@ddd149 If one repository times out or otherwise fails to respond, the UI won't show any available packages...at least that's what I've observed.

@ddd149 Upgrade to 2.5.2 or 21.05 and they are in the package manager.

The only way to get the package onto 2.5.1 is to sideload them.

@ddd149 If you aren't on the latest version you need to select your version as "Previous stable version (x.x.x DEPRECATED)" in System > Update > Update Settings. Trying to install packages for a version you're not running can mess up the package system. (and note since you're on 2.4.4, I think the previous branch will show as 2.4.5...so I might want to upgrade to 2.4.5 first.)

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

that is, installing nonofficial packages is an irreversible procedure? It seems to me that this should not be!

@ddd149 Not irreversible if you trust the author 😉 I have gone to great lengths to ensure that installing/deinstalling the package (regardless of how you get it), that it doesn't leave anything lingering on your system...that is unless you decide to keep the configuration data (which is the default behavior, and for good reason).
