ipv6 domain controller with dhcp server
-
hello guys, right now my ISP (spectrum ) just enable ipv6 on my connection (non static), /56, but i have no experience setting up this with the scenario i have, i have a home network (lab) , 2 dc, one dhcp server and 5 pc, can provide directions how to properly (best practice) set ipv6 on this scenario currently working on ipv4? id like to enable dhcpv6 on my windows server dhcpv6.
PS: current states is pfsense dhcpv6 is enable for lan and RA is set to assisted mode.
cheers and thanks for the help -
I assume your ISP will be using DHCPv6-PD to provide your prefixes. Why do you want a DHCPv6 server on the LAN side? SLAAC usually works well and Android devices won't work with DHCPv6, thanks to some genius at Google.

@jknott well i reading that since the isp is providing non static ipv6, you should run ULA on the Lan?

@jknott so i leave the pfsense dhcpv6 enable and use RA as a ASSISTED mode, then create the dhcpv6 on windows server using ULA?
thanks -
