So I was using the "Non-local gateway problem" system patch for 2.5.1 when I was still at 2.5.1 earlier. I upgraded to 2.5.2 just now and I'm wondering what do I do with that patch given that the issue is already resolved in 2.5.2? Do I revert or delete the patch or something?

Delete the entry from the system patches package

Do not attempt to apply or revert it first, just delete the entry.

          Gotcha.

I have another 2.5.1 system with the same patch. Is it recommended to delete the entry before or after the upgrade to 2.5.2 or it doesn't matter?

Generally speaking, the only way it might matter is if you checked "auto apply" in which case it's best to either remove it before upgrade or at least uncheck that box.

Otherwise it doesn't matter if you delete it before or after.

Where people get into trouble is when they (incorrectly) think they need to revert it before removing. That is unnecessary and actually can remove the good code and "unfix" something that wasn't broken on the new release.
