Missing Ethernet Ports Sophos SG 125

I have repurposed a Sophos SG 125 Rev1 that was out of warranty from my work. pfSense only recognizes the first 4 ports and I feel it would be a bit of a waste to not have all of them accessible. Any suggestions on what might be the cause?

Check the output at the command line of: pciconf -lv.

Check the boot log for errors if/when something tries to attach to them.

I assume you are running 2.5.2?

The boot logs don't seem to have any errors in them.

I remember seeing somewhere that igb0-3 are connected to the CPU and igb4-7 are connected to a bridge chip if that makes any difference. I will add a link if I can find where this was.

RAM: 4GB 1600MHz-DDR3 in 1 DIMM, 2 DIMM slots (easy to add/replace ram)
HDD: 320GB HGST HTE725032A7E630 (Travelstar Z7K500 2.5", 7.2k/32MB cache, AF, 1 platter, 24x7 certified model) mounted in rubber stands
NICs: 4 Intel NICs integrated in the SoC, 4 Intel i211 off a bridge/switch chip(i don't know why they don't put them in the extra 8 pcie lanes the SoC has directly reducing a component)

Hmm, nothing shown. Nothing that looks like a PCI bridge that isn't coming up correctly.

Some resource conflict maybe? You might try booting in verbose mode in case it shows up anything more.

echo 'boot_verbose=YES' >> /boot/loader.conf.local

Do you have the boot log from the Sophos OS to reference? That will probably show how they are attached.

I do not have the past Sophos logs for the device pfSense is now installed on. I have instead copied the logs from the replacement unit, which is a Sophos SG 125 Rev3. The only difference should be this newer model has an SFP port while mine does not.

Mmm, that newer log doesn't help really. Internally it's very different. Almost everything is in the SoC and there it's C3K vs C2K in the rev1.
No significant errors in the verbose log either. Not much to work with.

Try booting some other Linux on there. Maybe OpenWRT or Sophos XG even.
Either will probably see all 4 NICs and show us where to look,

It seems this issue is unrelated to pfSense. After trying a Ubuntu live image and Sophos UTM only 4 ports appear, making me think I likely damaged the hardware while attempting a repair.
