      Hi all,

I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't seem to find it in the forum, in the Traffic Shaper, what percentage of bandwidth should I use for the upstream speed?

For example, if I have a 20 mbit/s upstream, should I enter 20 mbits into the shaper or use 80% to ensure there is a buffer (i.e. 16 mbits)?

      Any best practices?

      Thanks.

80% is the rule of thumb. Some connections are worse, dedicated connections should be nearly perfect. I use 99% myself with a dedicated connection and I get 1ms of bufferbloat, so I know it's working.
