@nick-loenders Yes, this simply adds the proper route on the client to go over the VPN gateway.

You could send some of that /27 across OpenVPN to the other site if the /27 is routed to you.
If the interface is a /27 that's going to be much more difficult.

I have no where close to the amount of into about what your trying to do... I suggest you consult

But yes normally that type is what you would use.
