      @p2ranger @michmoor gave the link where it is explained for pfSense but it is not timebased:

      server: access-control-view: 192.168.1.69/32 blocksites view: name: "blocksites" local-zone: "youtube.com" static

      I don't think that there is a more integrated solution for youtube.com in pfBlocker. You can force save search for youtube though.

      @clokwork said in What to whitelist to allow YouTube history?:

      just unsure

      The solution that always works :
      Remove all feeds (IP and DNSBL).

      Iterate over :
      => Flush local DNS cache (Micrsoft OS : ipconfig /flusdns)
      => Test youtube history
      => Add one feed
      => pfBlockerNG-devel full reload
      => reloop

      Take a good look at what's getting blocked in your log files, it's easy to break google products because of their spyware/tracking integration.

      So, I think I found the source of my issue: my DNS setting.

      I had shut off and uninstalled SquidGuard, Squid and Snort (in that order) and still had no luck. As soon as I changed my DNS settings to Google (for example), I no longer have any latency issues. Put back Squid and Snort and still no latency.

      So, it looks like something with OpenDNS is causing my problem.

      Off to try another DNS to see if it's still running ok.
