      Been running 2.3 successfully on my APU1d since it was released. When 2.3.1 was out I installed and now the UI and OpenVPN hangs about every second day forcing me to reboot the unit through SSH. Have been trying option 16 in the menu as suggested but nothing happens.
      Firewall and IPSec is working but OpenVPN and Admin UI access is down.
      Unit has been power-cycled twice. Memory, state tables, temperatures and CPU levels are nominal.
      I noticed the System Monitoring graph had stopped logging in the middle of night until I restarted the unit

      What can I do to help troubleshooting?

      /Mattias

        Don't know if this may help troubleshooting;

        Checking the log-files (nginx.log, openvpn.log and nginx-error.log) I see that they all end with the same sequence:
        "CLOG" followed by 0x01 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x22 0x87 0x05 0x00 0xEC 0xCD 0x07

        log-rotation that went bad?

          Running fine for many days at a time on my APU here.

          Also, log files on pfSense are binary circular logs (clog format), not plain text, so what you see is expected if you use a text processing tool like cat or grep on them.

            OK, thanks for the info.
            Just had to force another reboot this morning. They never hang at the same time, so it can't be any cron-jobs at least.

            Will try to clean install 2.3.1 and see if this helps. These units have been around for a while and been updated over and over since 2.1-ish something, but only been on the stable releases.

            No other errors reported (SMART for example, they have 16GB SSD cards installed).

            /Mattias
