    Hi!

    I have a situation a bit weird explained here:  https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=111266.msg619618

    The fact is that I have a 10.1.1.1/32 transport network on the WAN side and a 84.a.b.c/26 public segment on the LAN side. So hosts have the first public addres of that segment as pFSense gateway.

    Now we want to add HA, and following the CARP diagram, it seems that I need to dedicate 3 public IP for it?

    Now:

    pfSense -> Its LAN address is the default GW of hosts 84.a.b.1

    So, in HA:

    pfsense01 -> 84.a.b.1 ??
    pfsense02 -> 84.a.b.2 ??

    VIP of both -> 84.a.b.3??

    We have to spend three public iP? (pfsense01+02+VIP for both) Or is there any other way that lets us spend only one IP?

    Thanks!
