      Hi,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I'm looking for some help. I have spent several days looking through this forum for help on why my upload speeds are only hitting 9-15mb on PfSense but am getting no results. I have tried the enabling and disabling of 'Hardware TCP Segmentation Offload' and 'Hardware large receive offload' and also adding several lines in to the loader.conf but still no change.

I am using an NC 360T NIC (Intel em(4))

I have tried to set the Speed and Duplex to 1000base T Full-Duplex but I get the following error….

IPv4 address 10.xxx.x.14/24 is being used by or overlaps with: WAN (10.xxx.x.13/24)

Now the WAN and LAN are in the same range which is what it is complaining about but I don't understand why it is complaining?

      Any help would be great

      Thanks in Advance

Because your WAN and LAN shouldn't overlap?  Put them on different networks.  You're lucky it's working at all.

Your WAN is probably being assigned dynamically by your modem so you only need to modify your LAN IP address.  If you can't get it working then post your WAN and LAN NIC details and someone will point the way.

              @Kellyl:

IPv4 address 10.xxx.x.14/24 is being used by or overlaps with: WAN (10.xxx.x.13/24)

A router with and IP that ends at .13 (or any number except .1 or .254) - I never understood why …..
If you had  kept the default LAN 192.168.1.1/24, everything would have work "out of the box".

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

                  Hi Guys,

Just wanted to reply to say I have changed the IP Addresses as suggested but this has made no difference.

When changign teh duplex on the pfsense box I still get the same outcome on upload speed. When I try to chnage the duplex on teh switch the port goes down and will only come back up when takin gteh duplex off and it reverts back to auto?

Any other ideas on what it could be?

I have checked the port on the switch and the only service running on that is sflow forwarding.

                  Thanks
