      pfSense 2.3.1_5

On my home network I have multiple LANs:

      • LAN: 192.168.1.0/24
      • LAN2: 192.168.5.0/24

I have a DLNA server (Plex) on LAN2 and I would like it to be discovered and accessible by DLNA clients on LAN. Using the native Plex app everything works, but I would like to be able to use DLNA.

I enabled IGMP Proxy as follow:

      • Upstream (LAN2) 192.168.5.0/24
      • Downstream (LAN) 192.168.1.0/24

Note: I also tried the opposite with same results

      FW rules:

      LAN (DLNA clients)

      Allow
      IPV4
      IGMP
      from any
      to any
      Allow packets with IP Options

      Allow
      IPV4
      UDP
      from any
      to any
      dest. port 1900
      Allow packets with IP Options

Note: LAN also has full unrestricted access to LAN2

      LAN2 (DLNA server)

      Allow
      IPV4
      IGMP
      from any
      to any
      Allow packets with IP Options

      Allow
      IPV4
      UDP
      from any
      to any
      dest. port 1900
      Allow packets with IP Options

Clients in LAN are unable to discover to the server in LAN2. In the FW logs I see the rules are triggered and in the igmpproxy logs I see clients joining and leaving groups, but clients and server are not talking to each other.

I searched this board and online and I found many similar threads, but never a conclusive answer on this topic.
      Any suggestion?
      Thanks.

I'm also using a "smart switch" Netgear GS108T v2 which has many options for IGMP snooping. Is it necessary to configure any of that on the switch or should pfSense be able to handle it regardless of the switch used?

          Hi.

People does not use igmp proxy to much, most of the topics have one post. I search for IGPM to find if it works with VLans in certain conditions in 2.3.1.

          pfSense:
          ASRock -> Wolfdale1333-D667 (2GB TeamElite Ram)
          Marvell 88SA8040 Sata to CF(Sandisk 4GB) Controller
          NIC's: RTL8100E (Internal ) and Intel® PRO/1000 PT Dual (Intel 82571GB)

Thank you. Unfortunately, after lots of testing and searching I just gave up on the idea to get it working.

I read this before but is a problem with 2.3.x https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/6099#change-27787 an IGMP v3. If you want test something you should use the 2.2.6 even if this look like not affect you is suppose to affect vlan configs only. The number of time i try put some IPTV working i fail at least with the 2.3.x.
