PfSense - Crash Report
-
Hey All,
I have been experiencing some issues with my pfSense box, but I am not sure where to start troubleshooting. I was hoping that some one could pull up the crash report and give me a clue to the issue. The other day my pfSense completely bit the dust, I had to reinstall and load my backup. At first I was thinking this was a "one off" and that the upgrade from 2.2.3 to 2.3.1 would maybe give me better results; however just three days later it crashed again; however, this time it came back up after a hard reboot. My first thought is to replace the internal SSD, but right now I have nothing but intuition to go on.
BTW this is HIGHLY unusual. This box has been rock solid for the last six months. It is plugged into a nice APC UPS. pfSense is AWESOME! Thanks for the quality product.

which is a filesystem issue of some sort. Usually those are fixed by booting to single user and running 'fsck -y' a handful of times, if it doesn't recover automatically on its own during boot. If it booted up fine on its own, then it's safe to disregard. Still I'd probably reboot it with a forced fsck to be on the safe side. Just run:
touch /root/force_fsck
then reboot.
