      Hello,
      I've searched the forums and pfsense book but could not find an answer to the following question:

      What if the WAN interface dies on the primary (maybe due to a switch failure) but the LAN interfaces (multiple) keep working. I would assume that the WAN fails over to the secondary. But how would users on the LAN be able to reach the internet? Is there some magic that routes this from the primary to the secondary?

      Am I missing something? Is CARP only really helping if the whole machine dies?

      EDIT: Okay, I've tested this on VMs: It switches all CARP VIPs over to the secondary.
