I am running the latest pfsense release (2.3.1_5) and I had a problem the other day where the LAN interface would lose its IPv4 Address.  It was very inconsistent, sometime it would happen after a couple of minutes other times it would happen after a couple of hours.  Anytime I done anything that would cause the interface to reset (reattaching cable, reboot box, reboot switch) the IPv4 address would come back.  However, the "fix" wouldnt last, it seemed to trigger more frequently when the traffic across the filter was higher..

I done some extensive troubleshooting and noticed that when the cable on my primary lan (I have 2) was pulled the IP would go blank  (this also happened when LAN traffic stopped - cable still connected) if I was connected to the SSH console.  I finally tracked it down to the Ipv6 configuration type, it was set to "Track Interface" I changed it to none and all the behavior with the IP address on the LAN stopped and all the traffic started to pass as normal after that.

Is this a bug? Or is there something else I am missing?
