Adding VIF's through command line or file
-
Hi all, I need to add a /24 subnet of IP's to my WAN, it's a bit tedious doing so one by one through the VIF GUI.
I see that you can add a network range/subnet, but then Outbound NAT doesn't let you specify an individual address if need be.
I found the command for BSD to add an alias address "ifconfig emo 8.7.6.4 netmask 255.255.255.0 alias" and even though it seems to accept the command it doesn't add the VIF.
Can someone help me with what this command should be or which file I would have to edit in pfsense to make this easier?

Is there a specific reason you feel that you need to add 250+ IP alias VIPs on the firewall? What problem are you attempting to solve? Odds are there is a much easier way to accomplish the same goal.

That's a good point as well. Many times if you're trying to do that, you're doing it wrong.
