Pfsense hang on boot
-
A few weeks ago had a power outage and my pfsense box went down. I haven't had time to really mess with it until today. Anyhow, it is hanging on boot at "Generating RRD Graphs" I've power cycled the box over a dozen times and have the same results. Is there a fix or am I hosed?

If it gets that far you're probably not totally hooped.
You might try booting to single user and force a fsck to verify nothing is mangled with the fs.
Another option is to manually wipe the RRD data in case some existing data is causing grief.Lastly, make sure you have a backup of config.xml and do a clean reinstall from scratch.

I have already done the fsck -y multiple times. I am assuming by wiping the rdd data I can remove everything in /var/db/rrd is that correct?

I got it working by wiping the contents of /var/db/rrd

Glad you got it figured out.
Probably some mangled data in one or more RRD files leftover from the power outage.
