I messed up my LAN ip setting and now I can't access my pfsense box :(

Its an SG 4860 version, so I tried holding down the reset key for 30 secs but nothing happens.  Is there another way to physically reset?

I would try the console, but my laptop doesn't have a serial port (although I did buy the console cable, plugging it into the USB didn't seem to work, at least with putty).

It might take a bit longer than 30 seconds. Hold in the reset button immediately after powering on the unit, and keep holding it in until all the lights on it turn off. Then you can release it, it'll be rebooting with the default config.
