      I did a clean install of 2.3.1-RELEASE  : https://nyifiles.pfsense.org/mirror/downloads/pfSense-CE-2.3.1-RELEASE-4g-i386-nanobsd.img.gz

      This was on a Soekris NET5501 board with a SATA SSD drive.

      The 2.3.1-RELEASE runs fine, but I'm unable to update to updates such as 2.3.1_5 with the GUI. In each case, the web GUI updater chugs along (the NET5501 is slow!) and eventually says its failed.  Rebooting the box confirms still at 2.3.1-RELEASE.

      Just wondered if that's a known issue with i386/NanoBSD?  Was I supposed to remount a partition R/W first or something??

      Is there any other image I can use on this hardware?  The box has a "normal" SSD but only a serial port console, no VGA.
