  • Netgate

There is no magic for port 443.  Packet capture on LAN on port 443 Host 192.168.1.104 then connect in. If you see 1-way traffic look atht e destination host. If you see nothing do the same on WAN but 443 and WAN IP address.

Are you sure your ISP is not blocking inbound 443?

    https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Port_Forward_Troubleshooting

  • how do i tell if my isp is blocking inbound tcp/udp connections  ??

  • Netgate

Packet Capture on WAN on port 443 and attempt an inbound connection. If it is captured, they are not blocking it.

  • @datajumper:

how do i tell if my isp is blocking inbound tcp/udp connections  ??

oh and thank you so much by the way i am about to try port forward on lan and see if that works
if not i still  need to know how to tell if my isp is blocking inbound tcp/udp
thank you so so much i really appreciate it

  • so use wireshark to scan ??  will that give me the info i need to see if my isp is blocking inbound??

  • ok doing it now ill post the results  thank you !!

  • please be patient with me i am a noob on some of this stuff i have some experience
    but i need more practice

but does this help you ….help me ??

  • Netgate

Well, port 80 is not port 443 but if they are not blocking 80 they are probably not blocking 443.

I say again. Almost every possible problem with port forwarding is listed here:

    https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Port_Forward_Troubleshooting

You can do quick packet captures on pfSense in Diagnostics > Packet Capture. This allows you to quickly capture on WAN so you can see if the packets are arriving at the firewall from outside.

  • ok man thanks for all of your help i really mean that you have got me further that anyone else on the other forums

    thank you cheers
