WAN interface (gateway) not reacable for 2/3 seconds

Hi all,

The last few weeks we have a frustrating problem with our pfsense firewall.

Once a day we can't reach our WAN gateway. This is only for 2/3 seconds. After 2/3 seconds I can ping the gateway again.
When the problem prevents I can ping the WAN IP and I get a request time out on de WAN gateway.

Version of PFsense 2.3.1-RELEASE-p5 .

What I did ? Change the MTU of the WAN to 1492 . And Update the firmware to the last version.

Anyone idea's ?

That's an issue upstream of your box, given the WAN IP doesn't stop responding.
