      I realise it shouldnt really be listen on WAN interface but if I wanted enable it to listen on the WAN interface, is it possible to alter the package so it can listen on the WAN interface?

        I also need Avahi on WAN, my "WAN" is not really WAN but another network and I don't have any network ports to spare on that box.

          I guess you can just comment out the "deny-interfaces" in /usr/local/etc/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf and /usr/local/pkg/avahi.inc
