SuperMicro A1SRi-2758F Network Interfaces
-
I've always been extremely curious about the Network Interfaces portion of the System/Advanced/Networking configuration options.
I'm using the SuperMicro A1SRi-2758f motherboard which appears to deploy the Intel i350 network chipset.
Datasheets for the i350 talk about "IP Checksum Offload" and "Transmit Segmentation Offload" however I cannot figure out if the other options in this section are truly supported. I've gone ahead and enabled each option one-by-one, restarting the box between each one.
After each restart network/machine performance has no noticeable impact.
What's going on? Does this mean every option is supported? Or the system is intelligent enough to only really enable the ones that can be supported?
I was expecting one or more of these to detrimentally hinder system performance due to the warnings that come with each option description.
