Old wireless router as ap. how do i access it? plz help



  • hello. just installed pfsense on extra pc and using my old wireless router with Ethernet ports only as ap for wireless and switch for my hardwired pcs. How do I access the old router from the browser so I can turn off dhcp on it?  192.168.1.1 is my lan of pfsense box. thnks.

  • Which is your old router's IP? Check it and change it assigning a fixed IP in the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. You can temporary switch off pfSense and access your old router GUI as you did in the past and configure it.



  • 192.168.1.1 was my old ip address. ok thanks i will assign fix ip to old router.



  • Make sure it's outside your pfsense DHCP range so you don't end up with a IP conflict.
