I recently moved pfsense from vmware to xenserver.  This means I can no longer use the open-vm-tools package to work with the hypervisor.

I installed the xen version of their tools this way:
      pkg install -Rf sysutils/xe-guest-utilities

However, I'm not certain how to get pfsense to start the xenguest service automatically since I cannot edit the /etc/rc.conf file.

Where is the correct place to add  'xenguest_enable=”YES”' ?

        Put it in /etc/rc.conf.local
