  • Squid 3 is not available as a pfSense package.  You might try the regular squid package available through the GUI.

  • I'm just working on squid3 as a package for 1.2.1 and 1.3
    so keep testing…
I'll try to kick out the errors ;-)

pleasy try now to reinstall the xml components... should work now...

  • its running now

  • ;D

  • Great news Trendchiller - thanks for your work on this.

Hello. Possible add option for manager webserver (checkbox on\off) for use 'sqstat' port.

    $conf .= <<<eod<br>cache deny dynamic

    acl webserver src 10.62.0.3/255.255.255.255
    http_access allow manager webserver
    http_access deny manager

    http_access allow manager localhost
    http_access deny manager
    http_access allow purge localhost
    http_access deny purge
    http_access deny !safeports
    http_access deny CONNECT !sslports

    Always allow localhost connections

    http_access allow localhost

    EOD;</eod<br>

I use 'sqstat' for monitoring active connections and maybe this port can include as package.

  • i think as long as this is not a package or else (especially when it's on an external webhost) it should be added to optional options i think…

would be no problem to add to the package but if no user knows how to setup this it's a bit irritating in the squid package ? what do you think ?

  • ok, i just see, theres no possibility to get it working with optional parameters… so let me see to make a parameter for an external manager host ?
when line left empty then disabled ?
    what do you think ?

  • just checked it in…
so update your xml cfg and have a look... it's under nac_params...

    thanks for the hint…
