      Hello
i am running PFsense 2.3.2 on vmware workstation.

vmware has 5GB space allocated and i do not know but it shows current size: 2.5GB

Also in pfsense, it shows 1.9GB.

      See attached screen shots.

How can i increase pfsense disk space from 1.9GB to 5GB.

      Thanx

I did found that topic before posting here.
But since it was 2 years old and was for BSD8 (new pfsense is on BSD10), I thought there could be easy and updated new way. Plus that was for esxi while mine is vmware workstation.

My concern was also that why pfsenae took 1.9GB only when it was assigned 5 GB during installation. And so I attached screenshot.

Also that was not on pfsense forum and had very less votes so I did not tried it.

          My concern was also

Some of the disk space is likely swap space as well. If you installed pfSense to that virtual disk originally, it would have used all the space.

By far the fastest way to increase the disk space is to backup the config, reinstall on the new disk, then restore the config.
