Getting disconnected from the internet every now and then

  • Hi there,

    I'm having this issue for a while now. Everyday, at least twice I get disconnected from the internet and only thing I can do that time to get it back is to reboot the pfSense. I thought it's my ISP (Virgin Media) or WiFi AP/Switch issue but everything come back just as normal if I just restart the pfSense. There is no visible pattern for these incidents that I can identify. I WFH a lot and it's becoming a major issue for me. The internal network works fine during that time though.

    I'm running v2.3.2-RELEASE (i386) at the moment on WG x750e, JFYI.  Can anyone point me to right direction to debug this issue please?

    Best,

    It happened again and I don't see anything that significant in the system log. The only error msg I see in the log (for yesterday and today) are:

    Aug 26 05:14:55 wg550 wg550.home nginx: 2016/08/26 05:14:55 [error] 36142#100144: *5490 open() "/usr/local/www/javascript/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 180.76.15.140, server: , request: "GET /javascript/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js HTTP/1.1", host: "xxxxxxx.co.uk"
    Aug 26 11:02:54 wg550 wg550.home nginx: 2016/08/26 11:02:54 [error] 36008#100106: *5521 "/usr/local/www/wiki/index.php" is not found (2: No such file or directory), client: 204.44.126.18, server: , request: "GET /wiki/ HTTP/1.0", host: "xxxxxxx.co.uk"

    Which  other log should I be checking? If you give me some of the details, then I can provide the details.

    so your running proxy.. Do you have the problem when your not using the proxy.

  • Squid is running but not enabled in the configuration. Do you suspect that causing the issue? I've stopped the service for now to test.
