Trouble with VIPs with pfSense as a VM in virtualbox

I setup pfSense running in virtualbox on a mac mini, and all was working great except for the virtual IPs, for some reason packets sent to the virtual IPs were not making it to pfSense, are there particular settings needed? I have the WAN and LAN cards bridged in the settings.
