I have been using a raid 1 configuration on a Dell R200 server with good performance. Recently I have seen failure of one of my raid drives. The R200 running pfsense 2.2.5 continues to be running well with no issues. I have two questions:
A- Does anyone have experience with my hardware configuration? Specifically utilities to handle the drive replacement.
B- Can I use the config file from 2.2.5 on a new instal of 2.3.2. Clearly I could do an upgrade from the console but if there is an issue with drive replacement and resyncing this might not be possible.

What's the RAID controller on the R200?  If it's a hardware controller (It's been a long time since I've been in a Dell shop but I recall the PERC 5 and 6 were), you should just be able to swap in a new drive and the controller will do the rest.  The OS should be agnostic about that part, again if it's a true hardware RAID controller.

As for the config file, I'm not sure, but one way to test without blowing things up would be to fire up a 2.3.2 VM and restore your 2.2.5 to it.
