Traffic Graphs not working
-
@ermal:
There were some cases when it might not work though its strange cause it works now on my setups and others are still reporting it does not work!?
Can you please try to open http://$ip_of_pfsense/graph.php?ifnum=lan&ifname=TEST and tell me the results?
For me this shows a full screen version of the graph that shows no data (firefox 3.0.1 pfsense "1.3-ALPHA-ALPHA
built on Thu Sep 11 23:35:12 EDT 2008
FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p4")Hope this helps.

That gives me the same as divilspawn reported. Tried on both FF 2.0.0.16 and 3.0.1, XP and Vista and both the same. OTOH, I also checked IE7/8 on XP(since SVG doesn't work on Vista)once again with re-installation of the SVG plugin, then showing the graphs again. So it was concluded to my setup for this, I apologize, however, the Firefox issues are still remain. As I said, SVG is not supported on Vista so the majority of users on Vista shall use Firefox(or Opera/Safari whatever has SVG supported) for viewing SVG.
@ermal : I think the issues I have been facing could be nailed down to Firefox now but it used to work fine with the same setup untill AUG17.
@emigrating : I suppose you're living on XP, could you do the same with Firefox please? IE works fine but Firefox doesn't on my setup using XP.cheers,

Nopes, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008 - all with varying IE installs (7 and 8). This works fine on all of them. I can install a copy of Firefox on the 2003/2008 servers (not willing to install it on my other boxes) and give it a try though?

Well, the SVG plugin doesn't work well on my Vista. It's only for up to XP but can be installed on Vista anyway but once I hit any SVG, Vista forces to stop IE7(IE8b2 too) working due to some conflicts(APPCRASH in the event log) then close and restart. Disable SVG plugin fixes this crash and restart problem but can't see any SVG's of course. :-\
@emigrating : Thanks for your info. Only difference is the version of Vista, I'm running Japanese. Could try loading Firefox if you wouldn't mind?
EDIT: It is DEP(Data Execution Prevention) that keeps SVG from running. Haven't tested DEP disabled which I'm not willing to do that.
EDIT2: Disabled DEP and confirmed SVG works on IE, on Vista(J). Something is strange…I will switch browser to Opera for SVG purposes. :'( -
Check next snapshot it is fixed.
Problem is that firefox cached aggressively and returned the same result from the query of interface statistics. -
Thanks alot. Let me do the 1st thing in the morning tomorrow.

Hello,
@ermal:
Check next snapshot it is fixed.
Problem is that firefox cached aggressively and returned the same result from the query of interface statistics.Traffic Graphs back to normal in Status tab, however, still no graph in dashboard gadget. Tried remove/add graph gadget several times but didn't help.
Checked with Firefox 20016/301 and pfSense build is the latest, Wed Sep 17 20:07:27 EDT 2008. -
Try next snapshot.

All graphs work fine on FF 3.0.1 (without plugin) for me ;D

Hello,
@ermal:
Try next snapshot.
Yes confirmed fix for dashboard's gadget as well with Firefox. Thank you very much. OTOH, I happend to find another graphing issue, CPU graph at this time. The CPU graph gadget in Firefox stays at 2% flat no matter what the real CPU usege is. In the IE, graph is drawing but it is not correct, and keep showing "can't get blah…" on the graph. Opera works fine for this CPU graphing.
cheers,

Thank you always ermal,
@ermal:
try next snapshot.
Just tried with the latest, Sat Sep 20 19:37:07 EDT 2008 and found Firefox now shows 1% flat CPU graph(was 2% flat :P) in dashboard gadget.
Not a big deal as far as all work fine in Opera though but good to be fixed by the official release.
Thanks for your help, and cheers.
