Scanmail looks for sendmail ??

  • Got the Postfix + Scanmail packages. postfix running fine now
but when enabling mailscanner iam getting:

MailScanner[13309]: Error in line 33, file "/usr/local/sbin/sendmail" for sendmail does not exist (or can not be read)
MailScanner[13309]: Could not read executable /usr/local/sbin/sendmail

plus the fact it is "stopped" when viewing Services - it comes up as "stopped" - but when i look in the system logs - it looks like its running?, edit: confirmed it IS running so i guess its just the services monitor -  that fails to see it is indeed running.

    edit #2; more issues …...

MailScanner[15009]: Virus and Content Scanning: Starting
MailScanner[15009]: ERROR: Can't open file or directory

edit #3 rebooted the server - seeing some additional startup issues
